Offshore Marine Hose Inspection
August 2010 | Category: Inspection
Our parent company, Allied Marine Logistics, recently carried out the world's first internal inspection of a crude oil offloading marine hose system offshore West Africa. The one-man operated AC-ROV was deployed and recovered from the rescue zone of an Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel in 1m seas with a 1kt current. An external inspection of the hoses was also performed checking for loose bolts, third party impact damage, abrasion, kinking, leak detection devices and other early signs of deterioration. The internal and external inspections were completed within two working days with no downtime.

Observed three eels inside one of the pumping stations. Provided visual evidence on DVD.
Wind farm
June 2010 | Category: Rental
Our new technical partner, Ocean Frontier Services Ltd, carried out successful inspections of J-tubes for a wind farm operator using one of our AC-ROVs. The internals of the J-tubes were visually inspected together with checks being made for evidence of sediment flooding. Managing Director, Bernd Ocic, says “We are happy to be working with Underwater InSight. Our Seaeye Falcon and Seabotix vehicles are able to inspect targets at depths of up to 350 m at a distance of 700+ m from point of deployment. This complements Underwater InSight’s range of smaller AC-ROV vehicles which are able to inspect inside much smaller spaces e.g. through 200mm opening, albeit not with the same range and depth capabilities."
South East England – Bridge Inspection
